Lilian Martin

Writer. Poet. Zine Maker.

Hi there, I'm Lilian!

I'm a Meanjin-based writer, poet and zine maker. My writing and poetry tend to explore intersectional identities and themes through a humorous lens, and the nonconformity of zine culture is a ripe underground for me to share my work.

My writing and poetry have found their home in QUT Glass, ScratchThat, #EnbyLife Journal, Scenestr, and in the short story anthology Is This Working? from Tiny Owl Publishing.

They have earned many laughs I am told.

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which I work, the Turrbal and Yuggera. I pay respects to the traditional custodians and recognise Elders past, present and emerging. These lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. These lands were stolen; sovereignty was never ceded.
